It's something of a miracle, or at least a surprise to find a date on Sweetest Day and attend a dinner and show. This was my fourth date Kathy as she suggested to eat at The Gale Street Inn for our evening meal. We both ordered beers and a half order of mouthwatering ribs that fell off the bone. This was too much food for even myself to enjoy and my belly was stuffed like a bell pepper. In fact, these ribs are so good that Patrick Kane from the Chicago Black Hawks eats here all the time and I can see why. Kathy was unable to finish, took home her doggy bag and it was time to check out a rock fest at the Irish Heritage Center in Chicago, IL.
Spearheading this event was a life-long friend named Dee Milenkovic and marks the second annual Rock Fest with local musical acts such as "Cuttlass" "Vintage" and "Vicious Circle." Heading tonight's show was no other than "Kings of the Nighttime World" a local Kiss tribute band packed with a solid punch of indescribable energy. With that in mind, a positive frequency filled the atmosphere inside the small threader that could hold approximately 350 people. Many seats were filled and the show was about to begin at seven o'clock on this Saturday night.
First up, was "Cuttlass" a North side Chicago band with true grit and raw talent. Songs such as "Talk" and "Big Time" had the crowd wanting more. Lead vocalist, Jeff Hundrieser released his own frequency of a thinking mans metal with high-speed tempos and powerful vocals. The band did not list their members on their Facebook page and I did not see John Dobbs on stage as well. Anyway, It was good to see Mick Lucid (Bassist) and Rudy Guzman, lead vocalist from "Vicious Circle" preform all the metal classics such as "Future World" and many more metal songs on that crisp Autumn night.
My date, Kathy was not feeling well and had to go home early due to mixing Coors Light with some other beer she drank at Gale Street. This was not good. So, I walked Kathy to her vehicle and gave her a peck on the cheek for our goodnight kiss. At that moment I realized that we were both in the "Friend Zone" and that the Laws of Attraction and our frequencies were not compatible at that time. But that's life and there is nothing wrong with having more friends in such a cruel world.
Kings of the Nighttime World putting on a great performance that night and I remember "Ace" heckling me, The Evil Genius about my date and where she went. I bowed my head in shame because I knew my date experiment had failed and finding someone to adore was going to be next to impossible. The one thing I did learn during this life lesson was to keep fucking around, and discover what might work in the future. As for Kings, this band receives a Five Star Review and if you were not there that night, you should have been. These guys kick ass that night and I hope to see them again next year as well.
